Hey y'all 👋 - what a week so far.
We just hosted this past Wednesday night an awesome summer GTM event at Reserve Hudson Yards.
We rented out the whole venue and got together ~150 of the top GTM talent in NYC, mostly AEs and sales leaders at AI-native startups and scale-ups.
The night had a bit of everything: padel clinics with instructors, a live Crew podcast recording (shoutout to our awesome partners at Theorist for running these with us), a DJ set, food, drinks, and a lot of great conversations between matches.
Padel was the perfect anchor for this one, and is becoming a new obsession for me personally.
The inspiration for this event was seeing what Ramp <> Litquidity put on in the Spring.
It's quickly becoming the networking sport in tech, with some calling it the new golf as well as founders’ favorite sport.
And we found that centering an event around an activity makes it way more fun: some folks came to play, some came purely to hang and mooch some free drinks/food.
And one call out, it’s called “paddle”, not “pah-dell” - don’t make the same mistake I did not being in the know 😆.
